This year I actually stayed up until midnight!!!Yay me!!!
Thinking since we have more of an ocean view from our new apartment lanai, Scotty and I were excited to sit back and enjoy the fireworks from Magic Island and Kakaako....when midnight hit though,we learned that our view of the fireworks is pretty much completely blocked...shucks! But there was plenty of "illegal" fireworks for us to enjoy. (The public isn't supposed to have any type of aerial fireworks.)
I was surprised Hoku slept through all the noise, even though it really wasn't as loud as years past before the new firework laws. I like that it's a little easier to breathe now without all the smoke from fireworks like before.
New Years Day was spent unpacking....
