Caution! Bride at Work!

I really love where I work. I NEVER would have ever thought that one day I would work for a major bank in Hawaii....but that's what I do and I actually find it pretty fulfilling. I get to work with an awesome team. We are pretty close- seeing each other almost 7 days a week!

On September 10, 2011, my co-worker Gail got married to her fiance Ryan. On her last day of work before the wedding we threw a surprise Bridal Shower for her at work.

We totally went all out and decorated the office....the walkway between our cubicles was our "wedding aisle".

The colors she chose for her wedding were chocolate brown and cream with Gardenia flowers. We got the bride-to-be a veil to wear for the day (thankfully I had some great practice with making the veils for our Bella-Edward wedding...). We topped off her look with a fresh flower bouquet.

I made some special cupcakes for the event. I wanted them to look more "fancy" like my Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes but the icing wasn't working very well....but they tasted yummy which ended up working out just fine...and you can't deny the awesomeness of SPRINKLES!!!

Again, Bella and Edward's wedding reception inspired the favors we made.... "A spoonful of Kisses from the Mr and Mrs..."

There were lots of pictures being taken of her specially decorated cubicle.

Gail's fiance Ryan even showed up to check out the festivities including a large lunch spread consisting of Fried Saimin, Garlic Chicken, Potato Salad and Chinese Chicken Salad, not to mention the Ice Cream and Cupcakes for dessert.....yeah our "diets" were put on hold for that day in honor of Gail.

It was a very fun day and we enjoyed pretending we were walking down the aisle as we had to make copies and retrieve faxes.....I better be careful or I might start developing a bridal complex with all bride stuff going on!

  1. You guys are always having parties, eating good, or decorating cubicles at your work! It definitely looks like a FUN place to work! And those cupcakes look sooooo GOOOD! No fair! I think me and Chenoa are going to have to make cupcakes tonight after seeing those;0) We're so excited to see you in a couple weeks! The kids know Aunty Sommer's coming and I think Chenoa mentions it multiple times everyday! haha.

    Can't wait! We're counting down the days;0)
