18 months old!

I can't believe my little Hoku Bear is 18 months old!!! Time has flown by and I have no idea where my little baby went...

We went in for her 18 month check up where she stood on the regular scale like a big girl. She was so proud of herself. Weight : 19.2 lbs  Height: 30”

She also let them measure her head.

Here she is in the waiting room.

She loves books!

I'm so glad I have my wheelchair so I can pick her up and hold her.

Poor thing had to have blood work and they had to poke her little arm multiple times to try and get a vein. She was not happy and I could hardly stand it. They ended up squeezing the blood out of her finger. It was terrible. I'm so glad daddy came with me.

On a happier note, here are a few things about my little big girl:

Hoku’s first word: "Hey" and "DaDa"

What she says:
Hey
I did it!
Mah-ee (Mommy)
Dah-ee (Daddy)
Aye (Hi)
OOOOH Yeah!
Yeah
Sign language: more, all done

Beginning to scribble with a crayon
Throws a ball
Likes to talk on play phones
Likes to brush her and everyone’s hair especially mommy's
Loves reading books and pointing to the pictures
Loves bath time and water
Switched to a sippy cup!!!! on April 23, 2014!!

Favorite foods:
(Pretty much anything we eat)
Tangerines
Strawberries
Meat
Potatoes
Rice
Goldfish crackers
Popcorn!!! (She is a McCombs afterall)

Has 2 bottom teeth and 1 coming in on top

Dislikes:
Standing on grass or mulch at grandma’s garden

She LOVES mommy's silky garments. After I do the laundry she is blissfully happy. (especially if Frozen is on)

And you'll usually catch her with her hand down my shirt or up my shorts leg to hold on to my garment top or bottom....which can be a little awkward in public.... but I don't mind. It is so cute. It's almost not possible for her to drink her sippy cup to go to sleep without the smooth fabric nearby.

and yes, I've cut up some of my old tops for her to carry around but she prefers the ones I'm wearing ....... and may or may not be found taking some out of the dirty laundry every once in a while.....

She squeals with delight whenever she sees Grandma Joelyn. Grandma gave her some yummy cake after she had gotten her blood drawn. She also likes to "brush" her teeth AKA suck on the toothbrush.

A friend asked me to help her make an Elsa Cape for her niece's birthday. I made Hoku one out of the left over fabric.

And since Hoku is all grown up now, she likes to try and eat with utensils. Although her shirt, chair, and the floor seem to get the most food.
