Easter Seals Christmas Party December 13, 2013.

Because Hoku is an extreme preemie (born under 3 lbs at birth) she is a candidate for being a little behind developmentally. Since she was born almost 4 months early, the doctor's adjust her age according to her actual due date when measuring developmental milestones.

We were referred to a program called Hawaii Keiki Information Service System (HKISS) that specializes in  coordinating care for children with possible developmental delays.  Since Hoku is more likely to meet developmental milestones at her adjusted age rather than actual age she currently works with a physical therapist, speech therapist and occupational therapist. Pretty much their jobs overlap quite a bit  currently but will eventually branch off into more specialties as she grows. One of the programs she participates in is the Easter Seals Program where they have an annual Christmas Party for the kids.

Grandma Joelyn and I got Hoku all dressed up and went to the party. She fit in perfectly and loved eating all the Christmas Cookies.

 Each Child got a goodie bag and age appropriate gift (Hoku got some stack able Bath cups). We also made her a Christmas Bracelet.

 She also got to meet Santa and his helper elf for the first time.

Later on that night Daddy discovered her tough Reindeer tattoo she also got from the party.

 He thought it was so funny how she had a tattoo AND a scar! What a tough girl.
